The Crutch began publication January 9, 1864 [v. 1, no. 1] and ceased May 13, 1865 [v. 2, no. 71]. It was published weekly.

The originals reproduced here are a part of the collections of the Western Reserve Historical Society, and were digitized by the Maryland State Archives in May 2008.
